The White House confirmed on Thursday that, under the command of U.S. President Donald Trump, yet another terrorist leader was eliminated.
A drone attack by US forces in Yemen killed Qasim al-Rimi, founder and leader of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQPA).
Qasim al-Rimi was one of the most wanted terrorists in the world and the US government offered a reward of $ 10 million (about R $ 42.8 million) for information that led to his capture or death. Al Rami, 41, was followed for months by the American government.
During his tenure, Trump has already eliminated several terrorists, the most recent, Qasem Soleimani. A senior commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard, he was killed in an air strike by the United States in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq.
The United States also announced last year the death of al-Baghdadi, the leader of the Islamic State.

“Under the direction of President Donald Trump, the United States carried out a counterterrorism operation in Yemen that successfully eliminated Qasim al-Rimi, founder and leader of al-Qa'ida in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) and vice president of Al Qa 'going.
Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri. Rimi joined Al Qaeda in the 1990s, working in Afghanistan for Osama bin Laden.
Under Rimi, AQAP committed uncontrollable violence against civilians in Yemen and sought to conduct and inspire numerous attacks against the United States and our forces. Its death further degrades AQAP and the global Al Qaeda movement and brings us closer to eliminating the threats that these groups represent our national security. The United States, our interests and our allies are safer as a result of his death ”.
