Desperate and with a starving daughter, he would sell pens until a stranger took a picture of his daughter and found that out.

One man worked in a chocolate shop and was a manager, but even with his job and weight position, he was not earning enough to meet his daughter's needs. Even most of the time his devoted father stopped buying things for him so that he could give his little one.

However, he only had his daughter and no longer had anyone's help. Both are from Lebanon, but due to the civil war that took place in the country, they had to flee and went to Yarmouk, Damascus district. Leaving all his life behind, he had to start a new life and began selling pens in order to give his daughter something to eat.

Suddenly, life surprises us, things we cannot imagine happen and this is normal, it is life. As they had no structure in the new country, they had no housing or money. But just as there are casualties in life, there are also good things that can happen. At one point when his father was selling pens on the street with his daughter sleeping in his arms, a man named Gissur Simonarson, who is a Norwegian, was thrilled by the state that his father was with his daughter.

Gissur took a picture of his father in that situation and posted it on the Internet, where the image was shared thousands of times and viralized, giving another direction to the story of the father and his daughter. The photograph was named “Anonymous Seller” and fortunately, thanks to the repercussion, an online kitty was created, which raised $ 100,000 for the refugee to start a new life with dignity.

Justice holds jail for suspected Amazon fires

Judge Alexandre Rizzi, from the 1st Criminal Court of Santarém, kept the four brigade members of the NGO accused of causing burnings in Paraná.

Police suspect the group is related to the fires in September this year. Defense attorney Wlandre Leal said that later on Wednesday he will file a habeas corpus petition with the Pará State Court of Justice (TJPA) to release the ongue trees.

The hearing was accompanied by criminal prosecutor Ramon Furtado and two other defense attorneys: Paulo Renato Alho and Michel Durães. According to police, there is also a suspicion of criminal association against the brigade members Daniel Gutierrez Govino, João Victor Pereira Romano, Gustavo de Jesus Almeida and Marcelo Aron Cwerner.

“There is no material evidence that the brigade members set fire. What exists is an assumption based on the interception of telephone calls and donations that have occurred legally, ”said the lawyer.

Judge Alexandre Rizzi pointed out that he decreed the brigade arrests based on information brought to him by the police that there was a plan of suspects to set fire to other reserves. And that the prisons have been kept to keep up with the investigations and for the safety of the suspects.
